There are two ways in which The Brutalist has used AI, both of which are highly controversial.
The first is for accent work.
In some ways, this seems the inverse of that problem.
The second way it utilises AI is for architectural sketches.
AI Creates Bigger Issues Than The Oscar Rules
I don’t mean to be hysterical about AI.
When everything gets called AI anyway, this gets messy.
I wouldspecifically say generative AI is the sticking point, and even then, there may be a balance.
I don’t supportdeepfaking Luke Skywalker, but I do think deaging Robert DeNiro for The Irishman is fine.
The problem is twofold.
Firstly, there’s the sanctity of art to consider.
But secondly, there are the ramifications.
It can get ridiculous.
However, I hope individual voters take stock of the issues here.
