The show opened withMario Kart World, which is the consoles big launch title.
Big, here, refers to price asNintendo announced that it will retail for $80.

Only Mario Is Mario
But nothing besides Mario is Mario.
That was especially true of Mario Odyssey.
At this point, players are going to expect something bigger, a more comprehensive, back-to-the-drawing board approach.
The window for Odyssey 2 may have passed.
Odysseys big idea felt almost too big, which may be the reason for the long break.
When the last game let Mario beanything, how can you possibly top that?
Mario Kart World is part Forza Horizon, part Crash Team Racing, and part Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed.
